Slide design for presenters - in-house course

We explore simple yet powerful ways to design & build clear, dynamic & harmoniously balanced slides - whether you're using PowerPoint, Keynote or Prezi.

Slides are an extension of the presenter and they need to support and reflect the speaker’s communication style. Throughout the day you will learn to think like a designer and transform the way you create and build slides, enabling you to always create PowerPoints with impact.

who is it for?

The course is designed for anyone who needs to influence others through the visual medium of slide presentation.

Participants need only a working knowledge of presentation software, whether it’s PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi or any other design tool.

We believe to create slides that resonate you need to understand and practice simple but effective design principles. You do not need to be a master of the software and certainly not a slave to it!

where do we start?

Before we begin working with you we like to have a conversation about your role, needs, expectations, your current challenges and most importantly what you hope to achieve from the course. You may only build slides for other people and never present yourself which makes a big difference to the way we approach your day.

what's in a typical in-house programme?

Slide design courses are designed to equip delegates with techniques to:

  • Learn how to create clear visual messages.
  • Understand how to transform words into pictures.
  • Display and create effective data slides.
  • Use diagrams and understand their visual relationships with each other.
  • Appreciate visual elements such as white space, arrangement and proximity.
  • Think like a designer when using fonts, colours, and images.
  • Understand how to use storyboards to make your slide deck flow.

We know that skills develop with time - that's why we continue to support everyone we work with after the training has finished. We see it as part of our commitment to the ongoing development of each person as a presenter.
